Dr. Savannah Sheets Earns Fellow Designation from the American Academy of Optometry

Congratulations to Savannah Sheets, OD, FAAO for obtaining Fellow designation from the American Academy of Optometry!

Dr. Sheets joined Western Carolina Eye Associates in August 2019. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her residency at the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA.

The FAAO credential means the provider has been recognized by peers for excellence in Optometry. Candidates submit extensive written work and must also pass an oral examination. A panel of leading optometrists and vision scientists must approve both the written work and oral exam. Less than 10 percent of practicing optometrists in the United States have earned their FAAO designation. Western Carolina Eye Associates is so proud to have Dr. Sheets on our team!
